Have you missed me? I've missed you!
After a nasty tangle with the streptococcus bug, I feel like I'm finally back in the saddle again!
I'm excited to get back to actually turning quilt tops into quilts! Two simple patchwork quilts for two little darlings will soon be finished. Since it's literally been months since I've finished anything larger than a 12 inch square quilt, that will be a reason to celebrate! (I might have ice cream.)
Here's my quilting frame set-up, moved into it's new brighter space. The pleasant surroundings make me not dread going to the basement anymore. (Thank you, hubby, for all of your hard work.) I'll do a basement sewing room reveal soon, I promise.
Meanwhile, I have the binding all ready to sew onto quilt #2....
and I'm busy hand stitching down the binding onto quilt #1.
Simple wide spaced loops will make for a soft hand on these cheerful fraternal twin quilts. It won't be long now!

I'm confused...how does this frame setup work? Which thing do you move and how? I've never seen this! I've seen mid arm and long arm, but that Juki looks like a normal machine.

Oh I do hope you're feeling better. I've never seen a set-up like yours. How does it work? Maybe you've already posted about this long before I "knew" you so excuse the question but I find it quite intriguing.
ReplyDeleteMy Janome 1600 has the same harp depth as your Juki. I have been wanting to set it up on a frame but have not taken the leap. It does a very nice job on a tabletop and I do have access to a long arm but I really want to be able to do twin sized quilts more easily. Could you tell me the brand of frame you have? I am ready to go frame shopping!

It's really great to see your quilting set-up, for the first time. A Juki, huh? Do you love that machine? I've heard many good things about it. It's a high-speed industrial sort, like my Pfaff Grand Quilter, isn't it? It's really good to see you quilting, and especially to know you're in your new space. Can't wait to see what all of it looks like. You've kept us all brimming with anticipation!
