First Anniversary Giveaway

Daffodils are my favorite spring flower. I probably have 10 different varieties in my yard, planted by the previous owners.  When the slender leaves begin poking up their heads, I know that Spring is just around the corner! 
Hip, hip, horray!
The fabric above with the sweet daffodils is actually from a vintage sheet. Doesn't it just shout fresh beginnings! In celebration of one year of blogging and the fun I have had making new friends around the world through this awesome media, I would like to give this fat quarter and nine other vintage sheet fq's to one lucky reader.
I chose 10 fabrics with a similar color wave from my collection of vintage sheet fq's. Together, they would make a sweet quilt top for spring, perhaps.

    Jim is the Gardner in our family but he has the prettiest Poppies in the area. We have people stopping by wanting seeds from our beautiful flower bed. Someday I want to come and see you and all your flowers.

    I am pleased to say I adore daffodils as well ! I am a Spring baby, so they make me think of my birthday and it's also cancer society awareness time when they bloom!

    Daffodils are also my favorite spring flower. I used to walk past an entire hill covered with them on my way to campus, and it certainly made going to class a lot more enjoyable!

    I love daffodils, too. I planted 1000(!) bulbs at our first house and it was so wonderful every spring.

    I confess that daffodils are my favorite, too. My husband bought me a bunch last week & I was in awe! Unfortunately, they didn't hold up well. I don't think they grow here in Hawaii-it's a little warm for bulbs I guess

    I was just talking to a blogger yesterday about vintage sheets, she suggested them for the back of my pineapple quilt. Would love to own some :). My favorite spring flower is the lilac which of course does not grow in Florida :(.

    Hyacinths are my favorite spring flower... there is nothing else like that favorite. If only I had some yellow ones, since yellow is such a delightful color anytime of year!

    My purple iris are beginning to bloom which is my favorite first sign of spring. Next month my yellow iris will be blooming. This is definitely my favorite time of year!

    Muscari or grape hyacinths. I planted some in my yard a few years ago, they have naturalized and propagate (yeah!). There are a bunch of them blooming alongside the daffodils in my front yard.

    Although Peonies don't bloom until the summer, their red shoots spring early. Also I love cherry blossoms.

    My favorite spring flowers are Hyacinths. Just 1 sniff can transport me back to my childhood, and buying them from the local greenhouse for my Mom at Easter.

    My favorite flower in spring is the Saucer magnolia. I love the scent and the creamy blooms. When I look out my bedroom window in the spring, the flowers always lift my spirits.
