A little "fun" sewing this weekend:
Ten cutie patootie churn dash blocks to add to my Mid-Century Modern Bee quilt...a jump start on my newest leader/ender quilt...
Maelie even modeled hers for you...
She and I had fun picking out a plant for her mommy at the garden center.
And Lula modeled the rocking chair pads that I recently covered for her baby sister's nursery...
...while I got some new ideas for future machine quilting.
What did you sew over the weekend?
Oh, those churn dash blocks are such fun! And Lula and Maelie look like they are having fun! I played around with my bee block- its my turn soon!
ReplyDeleteWOW! the blocks are fabulous and those skirts are totally adorable!! I'm sewing binding :)
ReplyDeleteYou had a cracking weekend. I love everything that's in this post!
ReplyDeleteTruly wonderful! Those skirts with their girls are priceless :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect weekend. Your L/E project looks fabulous. And your grandies are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun blocks Carla. I'm anxious to see your quilt ; ) I shovelled out my sewing room this week end so no sewing
ReplyDeleteCute, cute blocks!! Adorable skirts! Our baby granddaughter is showing signs of a little red hair. We'll see!
ReplyDeleteLovely blocks -- I really like the square on square. The skirts are fun and the book looks very interesting.
ReplyDeleteSewing on the weekend? Nah! How about cleaning and tidying and all the other things that go to preparing a house for the rental market? That's what we did!
I actually sewed very little this weekend but did manage to cast on some socks so it wasn't totally wasted, creatively. :-)
ReplyDeleteI did not get to touch my sewing machine this weekend. :-( Had to work. Love your projects. I think your cutie-patootie grandaughters are perfect for Kaffe!
ReplyDeleteI love that orange skirt for Maelie! I want one too :) And those churn dash blocks - such a gorgeous color scheme. I see in your next post that you've been to the garden nursery. I'm so looking forward to that time here! But I just glanced out the window and we're getting HUGE snowflakes! What?!
ReplyDeleteThe skirts are gorgeous! I'm sewing Swoon blocks, chain piecing all the components.
ReplyDeleteI have to look back in my email to find the link for that Kaffe fabric for those skirts. SOOO cute!!
