My grandma Millie didn't have a well but she had a pump beside her house. We loved going out and pumping it like crazy, even though it would bring up muddy water with all that churning. She lived in that home until she was 95 when she moved to my aunt's house. Never did she have running water until that move. And then she lived to be 108 years young. What an interesting life she lived! My inspiration.
Wow, this is some intense piecing! Someday I need to learn how to do this. Do you know of any good tutorials on paper piecing? Assuming that's what this is.
Since childhood I have had an unquenchable love of fabric. For years now my addiction has been directed toward quilts and, especially, the creation of them. I have the stash to prove it! Fred, my wonderful husband, supports and encourages my hobby. My 3 grown children and their families will never be cold, let's just say. I have a degree in home economics education and worked in a public library until a few years ago. Many days you will find me playing with one or more of my nine beautiful grandchildren.
I used to want a well in the yard. Seemed so quaint. And dangerous for a child! I enjoyed seeing the paper pieced well and Sunbonnet.
