Ugly twin bed purchased at a used furniture store....(have you ever wondered why this size bed is called a "twin"? I bought two, but sometimes people only have one. I guess then it's called a "single". ) Anyway....here's the twin before...
And the twin after..... I love white paint!
After many weeks of anticipation and waiting and wondering and phone calling,
a package was finally delivered to my door....
Inside: Tutto rolling sewing machine suitcases, one for Linda and one for me. They were ordered from a booth during the Quilt Market in Kansas City last May...
I was expecting them both to be turquoise, but I guess my wires got crossed somewhere along the line and I apparently had ordered orange for me.
Oh well, it will be easy to spot.
It's been really hot. Did you hear?
If it weren't for the info on the side of this container...
I'd be switching from iced tea to this....
Fabulous!
It's so dry out that my grass reminds me of chow mein noodles...
looks the same and makes the same crunching sound when stepped on!
To stay cool, my grand daughters (whose birthdays are a few weeks apart)
enjoyed an indoor luau birthday party over the weekend.
Their daddy forgot to tell the rest of us to wear authentic attire...
The cake and decorations were all bright and cheery
with lots of pink flamingos ...
A good time was had by all.
Absolutely glorious randomness! Seriously, you didn't get your tuttos until NOW?? That's horrible service! Your Chinese noodle comparison cracked me up. And, um, those pants....wow.
ReplyDeleteHa! How fun are those pants! And every bed of that size is called a single 'down under'! Perhaps I could send some rain your way-soggy and muddy is what our lawns are all about!
ReplyDeleteThat chow mein noodle picture made my man and I laugh out loud! That is so funny. A bag just for your sewing machine...great! Also, that bed turned out beautifully. It is amazing what a coat of white paint can do.
ReplyDeleteChow mien grass, hilarious! :-)
ReplyDeletethe bed looks greaat with a coat of paint! and as for the iced coffee, I suggest you don't read labels while pouring :)
ReplyDeleteSweet little grands! And love the Hawaiian theme!
ReplyDeleteYes, the white paint is wonderful. I have a few things that I'd like to paint white b/f the summer is over! Thanks for the inspiration!
Pants! Wow!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog - nice to hear from you - will talk again soon!
ReplyDeleteHugs - Lurline
In Australia, we always call them single beds! Because a single (as in one, not referring to marital status) person sleeps in it. We call the others, double, queen and king (in case you were wondering)! LOL
ReplyDeleteReally good random stuff, Carla! Thanks for the iced coffee tip though now I don't know whether to buy it or not buy it! LOL Cute cake, cute pants, cute kids. You've been busy. Your chow mein noodles make me think of the song "Tip Toe Through the Tulips." "Tip Toe Through the Noodles..."
