More Modern Cross Quilts

Here are two more awesome Modern Cross Quilts to show you today. Both are made by Jenny at Cut, Sew, Iron, Repeat. Jenny tells me she loves making the cross blocks and sees more in her future. I think you will agree that she is one talented lady with an eye for color!
Jenny is hosting a give away on her blog this week so hop on over and take a look around at her cute quilts and maybe win a yard of pretty fabric too!
Jenny made both of these lovelies for charity using this tutorial. Can't wait to see her next one! It makes me want to make another one myself!

  2. These are both so pretty - love the colors. Your tutorial is great, Carla! These are fun blocks to make. I need to get bak to my cross quilt top. It needs to be bigger, or be quilted...
    Thank you for the inspiration!

  3. Your modern cross quilt is such a neat design. The different colorways are great to see. I like the symbolism too.

  6. These are amazing! It must be so neat seeing other people's quilts in your pattern. The tutorial was easy to follow and I think this one is going on my list (which is long!). I also wanted to tell you I received the pattern in the mail for the sewing machine cover - thank you! While I've done bunches of quilts, I was never formally taught to sew, so patterns that are 3 dimensional (as in, not just a quilt top) are somewhat intimadating to me. But I have read it through and really want to try it! Thanks again so much - I love Shea's work!

  7. I had seen your tutorial earlier and kept it in the back of my mind that this would be GREAT for my pastors or confirmation gift, etc. I wanted YOU to know that your tutorial was the inspiration for a stole I made when one of my pastors left earlier this year.. check out my blog post for Jan. 21, 2011 or cut and paste the following link: http://vdenegrequilts.blogspot.com/2011/01/new-work-old-work.html

I love your sense of simplicity and color - nice blog!
