These leader/ender blocks need sewn together into a quilt top to send to Nepal with my son in a few weeks....
This morning I cut into my new Flea Market Fancy! I just love it, by the way! I made my own jelly roll, cutting two 2.5in. strips off of each one. I'm excited to try a project with them!
Two special little boys in my life have requested bat man quilts. I'm planning to make this my main focus for the weekend. They keep asking when the quilts will be finished...poor guys, don't know that all I've done so far is buy fabric!
Between sewing, eating, chatting and shopping, one thing I'm sure of is that it will be a bunch of fun! Oh, I forgot about sleep. Oh, well, who needs that anyway?!
I agree - sleep is overrated when there is quilting to do!! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI don't tend to go on retreats, but atEaster and a few other times a year we spend an extended long weekend at my in-laws' holiday house with them, and I take my machine, mats and rulers and a couple of large tubs of fabric, notions and projects. I always overpack, but it provides flexibility. Oh - and I stay up until about 3am most mornings! Next week I'll be taking a large bed quilt needing masses of applique, a part-made lap quilt top, an unstarted baby quilt, and one or two other projects, hoping to completely finish at least 2 of them! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI know you'll have a ball!! You can't take too many projects, you never know what you'll be in the mood for. Can't wait to see the batman quilts, I know my grandson would love one :)!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful retreat.
