Kleenex Box Quilt Progress

Twenty-four seemed about the right amount of Kleenex box blocks, so I stopped. Now I'm trying out a layout and background fabrics. The dark fabric is actually a very dark purple. My other choice would be white, like the tablecloth background the blocks are laying on.
My helpers thought that I had something else in mind when I asked their opinion of the layout!
Do you have a preference?

  2. I can't decide. Your helpers are too cute and very distracting...

But it makes me want to get going on my own interpretation of the very same kleenex box!

  3. Even with the wonderful distractions, I think the purple. I look at it and all the other colored areas pop out for me. Against the white a lot of the color fades to the background.

  4. I think I like the dark purple. At least from this angle:) Looking at your inspiration there is a smattering of white but mostly blocks of color. The purple stops the eye a bit. My eye floats quickly over the white to the next blocks. But really, you can't go wrong with either choice.

Isn't it great to have little helpers running around?!

  5. What a fun quilt. And your helpers are so sweet - nothing better than a good layout!
I think this would look good with either the white or purple. My personal favorite would be the purple....

  6. I really like the multicoloured polka dot to the right in the picture as a wide border but would also put a narrow purple border just next to the blocks. I really like how the blocks look all scrappy and random. A good idea I am going to use on my scraps. You got very sweet little helpers too :))
