It's the last Friday in March and that means more X and + blocks!
Suz and I worked with brown, red and pink fabrics this time. Here are the twinsies that I created. I mailed half to Susan in Australia.
She sent me these four beauties! I love that she included some butterflies as I'm looking for every clue that spring is maybe finally here!
Our eight bright blocks will be joining the others created over the last 6 months. (You probably haven't noticed, but each month I've used the same aqua solid fabric as one of my choices. I notice that Suz always includes some of the hexie fabric.) Only two more months to go!
Next week will be Selvage Week here at Lollyquiltz...
That is a nice batch of x&+ blocks!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely looking forward to selvage week! #selvagesisters
ReplyDeleteGreat x and + blocks. I hadn't notice you were always including the solid aqua, great idea.
ReplyDeleteI love the little touches of aqua!
ReplyDeleteI like your blocks but I'm really looking forward to your post about selvages!
ReplyDeleteOnce again very lovely blocks! I haven't noticed the aqua fabric in every set, I'm not good in such things. But in the next two months I'll have a look at it :-) And I'm very curious, what the quilt will look like in the end - I'm sure it'll be a very special and really great quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour photos always show the blocks at their very best! More selvedges-yeh! Have you seen Linda's (Flourishing Palms) skirt on IG? It's amazing! (My blocks haven't arrived yet......sad face)
ReplyDeleteThose blocks are beautiful! Looking forward to talking about selvages!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous colour way! Love these ones
ReplyDeleteAnother set of great blocks. I love the splash of aqua that will show up in your quilts. It will surly be a fun quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'll be checking back for selvage week! I just saw a photo on Instagram yesterday of a selvage skirt! (Somehow I got the feeling that it might be someone in your guild?). Can't wait to see your suggestions and projects!
ReplyDeleteGreat Cross-X blocks! I love that zinger of aqua in the blocks. We all need a little pickup like that once in a while. Terrific!
ReplyDeleteThis round of blocks is making me think of chocolate covered cherries. Yummy.
