Run, Hobby Lobby has McCall's for 99 cents this week. I know, I too bought one for an 18 inch doll. So far I've made a doll vest and slacks. Of course I made slacks and vest for the dolls owner too! More to come for Christmas presents. It will eventually be blogged when I get the inventory built up.
We had a small member of our family that had the dolls when they came out. That was a while ago. I had the best time making her for Christmas an entire wardrobe for her dolls. I used Debbie Mumm quilting fabric that had all kinds of cute prints. Sunflowers, flowers, etc.
Your clothes are great, I hope you had as much fun as I did.
Doll clothes are so much fun to make! I made a whole set for my niece who was into American Girl dolls at the time. Adorable! I love the red dress....I love anything with rickrack...
So cute! I think you had fun sewing these little things... and a great feeling of accomplishment. Yes? These outfits are so nice to see, and I'm sure they'll make one little granddaughter very happy.
Since childhood I have had an unquenchable love of fabric. For years now my addiction has been directed toward quilts and, especially, the creation of them. I have the stash to prove it! Fred, my wonderful husband, supports and encourages my hobby. My 3 grown children and their families will never be cold, let's just say. I have a degree in home economics education and worked in a public library until a few years ago. Many days you will find me playing with one or more of my nine beautiful grandchildren.
