It has served me well for 10 years. It looks like your pincushion may be rectangular, there are so many different sizes of tiles these days. That would save, re-stuffing the cushion part. Washers, lead shot are all good other options. grammajudybhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00562284172505849145noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046712351373941186.post-85162679051143599572014-04-10T06:14:38.816-05:002014-04-10T06:14:38.816-05:00You got lots of great ideas to weight it, I have a...You got lots of great ideas to weight it, I have always wanted to try emery but don't know where to find it. Another option is the flat metal plates found in electrical. Both would feel at home with your sawdust. My LQS sells it in little bags just right for thread catchers, so check to see if yours does...since you most likely don't need a large amount.

You could also put some heavy washers inside, or glue them to the bottom.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04984975627443306762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046712351373941186.post-33607234581531668022014-04-09T22:06:28.513-05:002014-04-09T22:06:28.513-05:00How wonderful!!! I was gifted one of those pin cushion thread catchers, and the maker put a piece of ceramic tile in the bottom of the pin cushion before adding the filler. The tile works really well to keep the cushion flat on the table, as well as having weight.FlourishingPalmshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13191140553844000267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7046712351373941186.post-74699860485919358172014-04-09T20:36:34.630-05:002014-04-09T20:36:34.630-05:00This is adorable!
